  Social networks, including blogs, are some of the most important Web 2.0 applications. These networkd, such as Facebook, MySpace, Bebo and so on, connect users who want to share their experiences, contents or knowledge. They coincide with the Six degrees of separation theory, offering that if a person is one step away from each person they know, and two steps away from each person who is known by one of the people they know, then everyone is an average of six steps away from each person on Earth.

  This concept is particularly interesting in terms of spreading content because it is these connections that anable us to diffuse messages exponentially. A task that is currently very difficult using tradtional communication channels.
